About the position of Online Conversion Specialist Germany

Within de Bijenkorf our E-commerce team is the youngest and fastest growing department. Within this department a team of 120 digital natives work together on the further growth and professionalization of our digital services. In 2009 we opened our completely renewed webshop and now deBijenkorf.nl has become one of the biggest webshops in the Netherlands. By this summer we will start with a webshop in Germany, applying the learnings we gained with our Belgium webshop over the last 3 years. 

For our new German webshop we are currently building a dedicated team and are now looking to add an Online Conversion Specialist. In this role you are responsible for increasing findability as well as the display of products within categories in such a way that it stimulates interest and improves user experience & conversion on deBijenkorf.de.

Your main responsibilities

  • Responsible for increasing conversion from deBijenkorf.de within categories by improving navigation/product information architecture;
  • Optimize commercial focus on landing pages to fulfil the needs of the German visitors;
  • Improve, manage & implement the navigation structure and product information architecture to optimize the customer journey and conversion;
  • Responsible for increasing AOV by using different techniques, including cross- and upsell and product sortings;
  • Evaluate effectiveness of online merchandising and make proposals to continuously improve results;
  • Analyze trends on customer & buying behavior and share findings & opportunities with stakeholders;
  • Setup, conduct and analyse A/B tests;
  • Work closely with the UX Manager and Product Owners;
  • Works closely together with SEO and SEA Marketeers to optimize high traffic, low converting pages.

Desired skills and experience

  • (Near) native German or extensive experience with the German consumer market;
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
  • A Bachelor/Master degree in a relevant field;
  • 2-4 years of relevant e-commerce experience;
  • Deep knowledge of online merchandising techniques;
  • Knowledge of merchandising tooling; Fredhopper, Fact-Finder etc.;
  • Experienced with web analytics tools as Google Analytics;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Strong experience with digital environments and usability;
  • Affinity with (luxury) fashion brands & online retail;
  • Commercially focused;
  • Data-driven;
  • Strong knowledge of latest online technologies, industry and competitive landscape.
