About the position of Mobile App Tester

For our successful E-commerce department we are currently looking for a Tester for our Native Applications (IOS & Android). Do you have 2-5 year’s experience? As a Tester at de Bijenkorf your daily job will be from our head office located in Amsterdam South-East. A nice business environment close to the train station. You will be part of the Business Development team which is part of our E-Commerce department. Together with your colleagues you are responsible for the delivery of several projects and supporting different business units of de Bijenkorf. You will be working on de Bijenkorf app for consumers, in-house apps and further growth of one of the largest E-commerce platforms in the Netherlands.

Our team members

  • work directly with scrum teams to create testing user stories on their behalf

  • collaborate with team members to prioritize user stories and execute test cases

  • provide progress updates to scrum teams on progress

  • maintain test cases for and conduct weekly patch and periodic regression testing

  • review and take action on feedback from App Squad team members

  • verify reproducibility of bugs found by others

  • retrieve and file bugs from devices' crash report logs

  • write descriptive bug reports

  • maintain regression test suites for Supported mobile operating systems include: iOS, Android

Requirements

  • Automation testing experience

  • white box testing experience using tools like XCode and Android Studio,

  • experience conducting feature, regression, and exploratory testing of Native mobile business applications on the operating systems mentioned

  • strong interest in and demonstrated knowledge of various mobile devices and operating systems

  • experience testing applications as users configured with different permissions

  • experience with tools like Charles, Jenkins, ADB command tool, etc.

  • understanding of concepts and methods in client / server interactions

  • Thoroughly test applications for both positive and negative results

  • Create User Stories, Test Cases and Test Plans

  • Understand Agile delivery methodology and test application elements as required during each sprint

  • Performs quality assurance review of specifications for internal delivery

  • Analyses detailed process workflows, including input and output requirements, information flow, and reliability characteristics

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

About our E-commerce organization

At the headquarters of the Bijenkorf, our E-commerce department is our youngest and fastest growing department.
