At the headquarters of the Bijenkorf, our E-commerce department is our youngest and fastest-growing department. A passionate, multinational group of over 140 professionals work together on the continuous growth and development of our digital platform.

In 2009 we opened our completely renewed webshop and now deBijenkorf.nl has become one of the largest webshops in the Netherlands. In 2015 we successfully launched our Belgian webshop and since 2019 we are also servicing German customers. And this year we also want to start servicing our Austrian customers.

As a Digital Content Specialist for the Austrian market you are part of the Digital Content Team and you will also work in the International squad. You are responsible for all content on debijenkorf.at and provide input for the other online channels. In all the work you deliver you pay attention to topicality, completeness and commercial fit. You also know how to translate delivered Dutch texts and images into an appropriate expression.

Your main tasks and responsibilities

  • Produce and optimize the website content with a commercial, informative, advisory and inspiring character (inspiration pages, landing pages, event pages, advice pages, etc.). Production consists off; writing or translating copy, searching and editing images, generating the right URLs, providing attractive underlying offerings, setting up the campaign or content in the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) content management system;
  • Gather the right commercial input from different angles of the organization, including the Online Merchandiser and Country Manager;
  • Manage the content and underlying offer so that it is available in a timely, complete and up-to-date manner;
  • Monitoring the Austrian market and actively making proposals regarding the quality improvement of the product group(s);
  • Creating storylines and concepts for digital campaigns;
  • Ensuring unity between commerce and inspiration by creating a balance between the seasonal input, the commercial briefing and market trends in shown product selections;
  • Support with the concept and creation of our brand photography;
  • The final editing of all textual content on debijenkorf.at;
  • Maintaining internal search content, re-directs, 404s and page view analytics;
  • Managing various webshop-related statements about debijenkorf.at and e-mails;
  • Support our International Marketing team in composing the marketing strategy for debijenkorf.at and create content for affiliate and influencer marketing.

How you complete the team

  • Native German speaker, fluent in English both verbally and written, Dutch is a plus but not a must have;
  • Working experience with the Austrian consumer market is a big plus;
  • Bachelor or Master degree with a focus on marketing, journalism, communication, digital media or similar; 
  • Pro-active and result-oriented professional with a passion for content and communication;
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in a similar position responsible for placing, managing and structuring content on an online platform;
  • Experience in an E-commerce or online content environment is a plus;
  • Experience with working in project groups and/or involvement in projects regarding content or communication;
  • Experience with content management systems;
  • Knowledge of and experience with Adobe Photoshop.
