About the position of Data Analyst Business & Operational Teams

The E-commerce division at de Bijenkorf consists of a wide array of departments and specialists that are supported in their everyday decision-making by the Data Analysts team. This ranges from cross-functional business squads that focus on assortment and conversion, to the development teams that build our website and app, to operational stakeholders in customer service, supply chain, photo studio and personal styling. A key requirement for success within E-commerce is data-driven decision making. As a Data Analyst you are responsible for helping stakeholders make data-driven decisions every day and making them more self-sufficient in their main data analyses. 

We are looking for a Data Analyst to focus on our operational and business teams. Every Data Analyst in the team has domains and specializations, but we also shift around capacity as analytics demands within E-commerce vary. The ideal candidate thus has broad interests and enjoys a varied job, regularly switching in supporting different teams within E-commerce. A commercial focus and strong stakeholder management skills are a must; Data Analysts manage their own projects and know how to prioritize work together with their stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities

  • Help defining the KPIs for different departments;
  • Assisting in forecasting metrics and creating targets
  • Setup (additional) dashboarding and other automated reports;
  • Train stakeholders to improve their analysis capabilities;
  • Investigate potential (business) opportunities by request and pro-actively;
  • Perform the more (complex) in depth data analyses;
  • Challenge stakeholders to keep asking relevant questions.

Desired skills and experience

  • 2-4 years data analytics experience, preferably in an e-commerce environment;
  • Experience with SQL;
  • Ability to translate data into comprehensible visualizations using Tableau or a similar program;
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics is a plus;
  • Knowledge of statistics and R/Python is a plus;
  • Affinity with (luxury) fashion brands and e-commerce;
  • Stakeholder management;
  • Commercially focused;
  • Quality focused;
  • Fluency in English, and professional proficiency in Dutch, or willingness to acquire this in the short run.

About E-commerce

At the headquarters of the Bijenkorf, our E-commerce department is our youngest and fastest growing department. A passionate, multinational group of over 120 professionals work together on the continuous growth and development of our digital platform. Because of the positive growth and challenging developments we are looking for new colleagues to join the team. We work in an Agile environment where are key stakeholders are our customers. We recently launched our new responsive platform which resulted in a great uplift in our mobile usage. About the Service Center

Since January 2010, the Service Office of the Bijenkorf has been located in the Atlas-complex on the Hoogoorddreef in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. More than 400 enthusiastic colleagues work here, which brings a wide variety of specializations together, all geared towards delivering a complete service to our affiliates.
