About the position of Data Analyst

The business development teams at de Bijenkorf are set up as cross-functional squads which consist of product owners, scrum masters, UX specialists and front- and backend developers. Each squad is fully responsible to optimize a part of our customer journey, such as orientation or check-out. A key requirement for success of these business development squads is data-driven decision making. As a Data Analyst for these business development squads you will be responsible for helping the squads become more data-driven and more self-sufficient in their main data analyses. 

Your main responsibilities

  • Help defining the KPI framework for the business development squads;
  • Setup (additional) dashboards and other automated reports;
  • Train squad members to improve their analysis capabilities;
  • Investigate potential of new features on site / in the app and (help) evaluate those features e.g. by means of AB test analyses;
  • Perform the more (complex) in depth data analyses;
  • Help with identifying new tracking requirements for the website and app and implement these in collaboration with squads;
  • Challenge squads to keep asking relevant questions.

Desired skills and experience

  • 2-4 years data analytics experience in an e-commerce environment;
  • Experience with Google Analytics and SQL;
  • Ability to translate data into comprehensible visualizations using Google Analytics and Tableau (or a similar program);
  • Experience with tag management systems, such as Google Tag Manager;
  • Knowledge of statistics, R/Python and JavaScript is a plus;
  • Affinity with (luxury) fashion brands, online retail and on-site customer behavior;
  • Stakeholder management;
  • Commercially focused;
  • Quality focused.

About E-commerce

At the headquarters of the Bijenkorf, our E-commerce department is our youngest and fastest growing department. A passionate, multinational group of over 120 professionals work together on the continuous growth and development of our digital platform. About the Service Center

Since January 2010, the Service Office of the Bijenkorf has been located in the Atlas-complex on the Hoogoorddreef in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. More than 400 enthusiastic colleagues work here, which brings a wide variety of specializations together, all geared towards delivering a complete service to our affiliates.
